🔍 Model Background
The Suzuki VZ 1500 (2002–2010), also known in some markets as the Intruder M1500, was a mid-to-heavyweight power cruiser developed to bridge the gap between the nimble VZ800 and the high-performance VZR1800. With its modern styling, strong V-twin character, and relaxed ergonomics, the VZ 1500 catered to cruiser riders seeking a balance of performance and comfort.
It was powered by a 1,462cc liquid-cooled SOHC 54° V-twin engine with fuel injection, tuned for strong midrange torque and smooth power delivery. The engine was paired with a 5-speed transmission and shaft final drive, providing low-maintenance performance and long-distance durability.
The VZ 1500 featured inverted front forks, a hidden rear monoshock, and a large rear tire to emphasize its muscular look and stable ride. Dual disc front brakes, modern cruiser styling, and a comfortable two-piece seat made it equally suited for city cruising or weekend touring.
Produced from 2002 to 2010, the VZ 1500 earned a loyal following for its refined engine, comfortable ride, and bold appearance. While less extreme than the VZR1800, it delivered plenty of power and visual presence for riders looking for a confident, low-maintenance cruiser with modern tech.
