The Suzuki TL 1000 S (1997–2001) was a high-performance V-twin sportbike developed to challenge European twins like Ducati’s 916. Known for its raw power, aggressive character, and innovative chassis design, the TL 1000 S gained a reputation as both thrilling and controversial—earning the nickname “widowmaker” among enthusiasts.

At its core was a potent 996cc liquid-cooled DOHC 90° V-twin engine producing over 120 horsepower, developed in-house by Suzuki for strong midrange torque and high-revving performance.
