🔍 Model Background

The Mercury Verado 350 SCi outboard (2014–2018) was a high-performance, factory-tuned engine developed by Mercury Racing. Based on the proven 2.6L inline-6 Verado platform, the 350 SCi featured a custom supercharger, upgraded ECU mapping, forged internals, and performance calibrations that pushed output to 350 horsepower while maintaining Verado reliability.

This model was aimed at boaters who wanted more top-end performance than the standard Verado 300, without stepping up to the heavier, costlier 400R. It was especially popular among owners of stepped-hull center consoles, performance catamarans, and offshore fishing boats who needed a balance of speed, torque, and driveability.

The 350 SCi used Mercury's Advanced MidSection (AMS) for reduced vibration, along with Digital Throttle & Shift (DTS) and compatibility with Joystick Piloting. It was available with multiple gearcase options, including the Sport Master for high-speed applications. Although it was discontinued around 2018 in favor of newer V8 models, the Verado 350 SCi remains a respected platform in the high-performance outboard segment.
