🔍 Model Background

The Mercury Verado 275 HP L6 outboard (2014–2020) was part of the final generation of Mercury’s legendary supercharged inline-6 (L6) Verado platform. Designed for premium offshore boats, performance center consoles, and high-end bay boats, the 275 L6 delivered smooth, responsive power with exceptional quietness and low vibration.

At its core was a 2.6L inline-6 engine paired with a belt-driven supercharger and an advanced ECU that maintained consistent torque across a wide RPM range. It featured Digital Throttle & Shift (DTS), SmartCraft compatibility, and Advanced MidSection (AMS) for reduced vibration and seamless multi-engine integration.

While not as common as the 250 or 300 Verado models, the 275 offered a middle-ground solution for boaters seeking the refined characteristics of the L6 Verado platform without pushing into higher fuel consumption or heavier loads. Production ended around 2020 as Mercury shifted its focus to the lighter, naturally aspirated V8 outboards, but the 275 L6 remains a reliable and respected option in the used market today.
